In 2025, India has intensified its commitment to gender equality through a series of transformative policies and initiatives. The Union Budget 2025-26 emphasizes women's economic participation, aiming for 70% involvement in economic activities, reflecting a significant step towards inclusive growth.

State governments have also introduced impactful schemes. In Telangana, the 'Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana' offers ₹50,000 to economically disadvantaged women, while the 'Revanth Anna ka Sahara-Miskeen la Kosam' provides ₹1 lakh to marginalized communities, promoting self-employment and financial independence . Similarly, Karnataka's 'Deepika Student Scholarship Programme' grants ₹30,000 annually to over 37,000 girls pursuing higher education, aiming to eliminate financial barriers and promote educational equality .

These initiatives are part of a broader national effort to empower women, ensuring their active participation in India's socio-economic development. Through targeted policies and reforms, India is making significant strides towards achieving gender equality and fostering an inclusive society.
