Marine Robotics Startup EyeROV Raises Rs 13 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding!

EyeROV, a pioneering startup in the Indian marine robotics sector, has successfully raised Rs 13 crore in its Pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by Unicorn India Ventures, a prominent early-stage fund, with participation from several high-net-worth individuals and existing investors. Founded by IIT graduates Johns T. Mathai and Kannappa Palaniappan P, EyeROV has positioned itself as a leader in underwater inspection technology, offering advanced Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) designed to perform high-resolution visual and non-destructive testing in challenging aquatic environments.

The infusion of capital arrives at a critical growth phase for the company as it looks to scale its operations beyond the Indian market. EyeROV's technology is currently utilized across various sectors, including oil and gas, maritime, dams, and bridges, where its robots replace the need for human divers in dangerous underwater inspections. By providing real-time data and high-quality imagery, these robotic solutions help infrastructure owners identify structural defects and maintenance needs more safely and cost-effectively than traditional methods.

With this new funding, the company intends to focus on international expansion, specifically targeting markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Additionally, EyeROV plans to invest heavily in research and development to introduce more specialized robotic platforms and AI-driven data analytics tools. These enhancements will allow for more automated and predictive maintenance reports, further solidifying the company's competitive edge in the global marine tech landscape. This investment underscores the growing interest in Indian deep-tech startups that are capable of delivering specialized hardware and software solutions for global industrial applications.
