Ex-IntSights CEO Raises $11M for Recapp, an AI-Powered Personalized Sports Highlight App!

Recapp represents a bold pivot for CEO Guy Nizan, who transitioned from the enterprise cybersecurity sector to the consumer-facing world of "Sportstech." The $11 million funding round saw participation from high-profile investors, including Joe Montana’s Liquid2 Ventures, MizMaa, ADvantage, iAngels, and Concorde Capital. This capital injection is intended to accelerate product development and support the expansion of the company’s R&D center in Tel Aviv as the app scales throughout 2026. Since its initial launch in September, the app has already attracted tens of thousands of active users in the United States, offering a centralized hub for coverage of major leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.

The platform distinguishes itself by moving away from the "one-size-fits-all" broadcast model. Instead, Recapp uses AI to curate real-time statistics, scores, and social media updates into a streamlined, mobile-first experience. Users can customize their feeds based on specific leagues or even individual fantasy team rosters. The founding team brings significant industry weight to the venture; alongside Nizan is Ron Maayan, a veteran of digital video products, and Blake Stuchin, who previously served as the Head of Digital Business Development at the NFL. Their combined expertise aims to bridge the gap between traditional broadcasting rights and the modern fan's preference for quick, personalized content consumption.

Operating with a team of approximately 20 employees across the U.S. and Israel, Recapp is currently free for users, monetizing through advertisements. Future plans include a premium subscription tier and the integration of ticketing services to create a comprehensive sports ecosystem. Beyond its business goals, Recapp is also a participant in the “Next October” initiative, a project that commemorates fallen soldiers from the Swords of Iron war by dedicating startups to their memory. Specifically, the company honors Elad Michael Sasson, who fell in battle at Kissufim. By blending cutting-edge AI with a deep passion for sports culture, Recapp seeks to redefine how the next generation of fans engages with their favorite games.
