Noman Ali Makes History with Pakistan's First Ever Test Cricket Hat-Trick!

Noman Ali made history on today in Multan by becoming the first Pakistani spinner to take a hat-trick in Test cricket!

The 38-year-old spinner wreaked havoc on the West Indies batting lineup on Day 1 of the final Test, finishing with stunning figures of 4 for 6 after his hat-trick. West Indies were left struggling at 44 for 7 by the morning session.

Joining an elite group, Noman became the fifth Pakistani bowler to achieve this feat, following in the footsteps of Wasim Akram, who made history 26 years ago as the first Pakistan fast bowler to take a Test hat-trick. Noman’s achievement came just five years after Naseem Shah took his hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2020.

In the match, Noman was the first-change bowler for Pakistan and struck early, dismissing West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite in his second over, sending shockwaves through the West Indies lineup. The West Indies didn’t even last 15 minutes before Mikyle Louis fell to debutant pacer Kashif Ali, and the spin duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan took control, with the pitch turning sharply right from the get-go.

Noman's hat-trick victims were Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevon Sinclair. The third wicket was particularly memorable, as Babar Azam pulled off an incredible low catch at gully to dismiss Sinclair. With his smooth flight and well-placed deliveries, Noman was on fire, leaving the West Indies batters no chance.

Pakistan's dust bowl pitch worked in Noman’s favour, and he made sure to take full advantage. A historic day for Pakistan cricket and a moment to remember for Noman Ali!
