Parshuram Jayanti 2025, marking the birth of Lord Parshuram- the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29and 30. According to Hindu scriptures, Parshuram was born during Pradosh Kaal on the third day (Tritiya Tithi) of the Vaishakh month to Sage Jamadagni and Mother Renuka. Revered as immortal, Parshuram is believed to still reside on Earth, awaiting the arrival of Lord Kalki, whom he will train in warfare, as per the Kalki Purana. His divine mission was to rid the Earth of corrupt and tyrannical rulers who had forsaken Dharma.
While not as widely worshipped as Rama or Krishna, Parshuram commands deep reverence, especially in South India, where temples like the one in Pajaka, Udupi, honor his legacy. Interestingly, Parshuram Jayanti closely aligns with Akshaya Tritiya (April 30), amplifying the auspiciousness of the period for devotees seeking spiritual growth and divine blessings.
