With the rising craze for Labubu dolls, scammers are cashing in by creating fake websites in multiple languages to deceive fans. Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has flagged hundreds of fraudulent sites mimicking Pop Mart, the official seller, offering fake “Labubu originals” at discounted prices ranging from $30 to $79.99.
Designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, Labubu dolls are sold in surprise “blind boxes,” making them a collectible obsession. Their limited availability and celebrity endorsements have pushed resale prices to over $3,000 - making fans easy targets.
Scam websites often copy official branding and use urgent calls-to-action to lure buyers into entering sensitive payment information.
Kaspersky urges buyers to purchase only from verified Pop Mart channels and double-check URLs before shopping. Remember: if a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. Stay alert and share this warning with fellow collectors to stay safe online.
