PM Modi begins 4-state visit today. What’s on the agenda?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day tour of Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh from May 29 to 30, launching transformative projects worth thousands of crores. In Sikkim, he will mark 50 years of statehood with events celebrating culture and nature, inaugurating a ₹750 crore 500-bed hospital and a passenger ropeway.
In West Bengal, Modi will lay the foundation of a ₹1,010 crore City Gas Distribution project to serve over 2.5 lakh households. He will later inaugurate Patna airport’s new terminal, unveil the ₹29,930 crore Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, and launch crucial road and rail projects in Bihar.
In Uttar Pradesh, Modi will open ₹20,900 crore infrastructure projects including metro extensions, thermal plants, power substations, and a new sewage treatment plant in Kanpur, boosting industrial and environmental development.
