Uttar Pradesh police registered an FIR on July 8, 2025, against Yash Dayal, left-arm pace bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A woman from Ghaziabad accused him of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment, and cheating by falsely promising marriage .

According to the complaint, Dayal and the woman were in a five-year relationship that began in 2019 via social media. She alleges he traveled with her across cities - Bengaluru, Delhi, Prayagraj - under the pretext of settling down before marrying her, only to block her and refuse marriage, culminating in a confrontation where he assaulted her . The complaint includes screenshots, chat logs, and call records, and claims Dayal had similar liaisons with others.

This FIR follows a complaint to the Uttar Pradesh CM grievance portal and earlier reports via Women’s Helpline 181. Authorities confirm that medical examination is underway and that Dayal may face imminent arrest.
