Recognise the Red Flags: Early signs of burnout you shouldn't Ignore!

If you’re feeling drained, unfocused or emotionally detached, it may be more than just a bad week - you could be experiencing early signs of burnout. World Health Organization defines burnout as exhaustion caused by chronic work-stress that’s not successfully managed. According to the web-story “How To Know You Are Burnt Out” by NDTV, typical clues include constant tiredness, feeling ineffective, detachment and reduced productivity. 

Another piece highlights how persistent stress can manifest physically: headaches, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, upset stomach or short temper often point to mounting stress in the body and mind.  These don’t happen overnight — burnout steadily builds when you carry heavy demands without proper recovery or support.

Spotting the signs early is key. If you’re noticing growing exhaustion, loss of motivation or trouble switching off after work, it might be time to reassess your load, build stronger boundaries and prioritise rest. Preventive steps now could save you from deeper physical and mental health issues later.
