Snapchat turns India into the ultimate playground for creators!

Snapchat is betting big on India, and the results are already showing. At its Creator Connect event in Delhi, the company announced a sharp rise in both engagement and creator activity. Over the last two years, the total time Indians spend watching content on Snapchat has doubled, making the platform one of the fastest-growing social apps in the country.

One of the biggest highlights was the rise of Snap Stars, the platform’s official top-tier creators. Their number has grown 1.5 times in just two years, signaling strong momentum in India’s creator ecosystem. Snapchat also revealed that its short-video feature, Spotlight, has recorded more than a fourfold increase in content uploads year-on-year, proving that creators are choosing the app as a serious platform to showcase their talent.

The Delhi event featured augmented reality (AR) demos, celebrity appearances, and exclusive creator interactions, all aimed at strengthening Snapchat’s bond with India’s digital-first youth. With this rapid growth, Snapchat is positioning itself not just as a social platform, but as a hub for India’s rising creator economy.
