Uber has rolled out a new service called Uber for Teens in 37 cities across India, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata, catering to teenagers aged 13 to 17. This move aims to offer a safe, reliable, and convenient transportation solution for teens, while giving parents peace of mind.

The service comes with robust safety measures, such as real-time GPS tracking, ride monitoring, and an emergency button within the app. Parents can track their teen's ride in real time and receive trip summaries upon completion. A verified Uber account is required to link both parent and teen profiles, allowing parents to monitor and manage the rides.

Prabhjeet Singh, Uber India's president, emphasized the growing demand for a trustworthy service that addresses both the transportation needs of teens and parents' concerns about safety.

A survey found that 92% of parents struggled with arranging safe transport, and 93% showed interest in using such a service. With Uber for Teens, Uber is poised to offer a solution that meets these needs.
