Zepto, one of India’s fastest-growing quick-commerce companies, has moved aggressively towards pan-India automation, and the results are already shaking up the industry. According to co-founder Aadit Palicha, the company has implemented advanced automated systems across multiple dark stores, improving speed, cutting human errors, and optimizing order flow like never before.
This shift has reportedly helped Zepto save “hundreds of crores”, a milestone that places it far ahead of competitors in terms of operational efficiency. Automation has enabled the company to reduce dependency on manual labor within warehouses, improve item picking accuracy, and deliver faster - all while keeping operational costs under tight control.
Palicha also mentioned that automation has improved productivity by around 45%, making Zepto one of the few quick-commerce players to successfully scale tech-driven warehouses nationwide. For customers, this means smoother deliveries, fewer cancellations, and more reliability during peak hours.
As competition intensifies among Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, the brand’s heavy bet on automation signals a new phase for India’s quick-commerce industry - one where technology decides who wins the speed battle.
