In a horrifying incident in Faridabad, a young woman was allegedly killed and buried by her in-laws over dowry demands. The crime, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, came to light after the victim’s family raised concerns about her sudden disappearance.

The Palla Police Station has booked four members of the in-laws' family - identified as Bhoop Singh, originally from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, his wife Sonia, son Arun Singh, and daughter Kajal. Authorities report that the woman was murdered at the family’s residence and buried in a concealed location to cover up the crime.

A case under Sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), and 498A (cruelty for dowry) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. The police are currently conducting search operations to recover the body and arrest the accused, who are reportedly absconding.

This tragic case underscores the ongoing menace of dowry violence in India, despite stringent laws meant to protect women.
