The Global Peace Index 2025 has revealed that the world is becoming less peaceful, with rising violence, wars, and instability. For the first time, Russia has been ranked the least peaceful country in the world, replacing Afghanistan and Syria, which held that position for years.

The index, released by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), ranks 163 countries based on safety, security, internal conflict, and military involvement. The report warns that global peace is at its lowest point in 15 years.
