Under the Indian Army’s Decade of Transformation, the Terrier Cyber Quest 2025 was launched in New Delhi in collaboration with IIT Madras, the Indian Army Research Cell (IARC), and CyberPeace. This first-of-its-kind national challenge seeks to supercharge indigenous innovation in critical technology areas like AI, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, and Drone Technology.
The competition unfolds across two tracks :
- Track 1: Bug Hunting Challenge — a live, high-stakes 36-hour bug-hunt on BOSS Linux within a simulated Indian Army environment, focused on uncovering operating system vulnerabilities.
- Track 2: Datathon — participants craft real-time solutions for predictive threat intelligence, including projects like drone flight anomaly detection, quantum-enhanced malware/ransomware detection, and deepfake defense.
Timeline: Registration runs from July 23 to September 7, 2025. Shortlisted candidates enter preliminary rounds (Sept 8–17), culminating in a Grand Finale from Sept 24–26, followed by an award ceremony on October 7.
Top performers will be recognized by Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi.
