Bomb threat emails cause panic at 40+ Bengaluru private schools!

Panic swept Bengaluru on the morning of July 18 after at least 40 private schools - including institutions in RR Nagar, Kengeri, Central and East Bengaluru - received frightening bomb threat emails. The messages, sent from an anonymous ID claiming “Trinitrotoluene” (TNT) devices planted in classrooms, warned “Not a single soul will survive,” prompting immediate evacuations .

Local police, bomb disposal units, and dog squads rushed to conduct thorough searches across schools in areas such as RR Nagar, Kengeri, and Rajarajeshwari Nagar. So far, no explosive devices have been found, and authorities are treating the warnings as hoaxes .

This unsettling wave follows similar incidents in Delhi earlier in the week, where 45 schools faced comparable threats. Authorities are collaborating with cyber-crime units to trace the emails, which appear to originate via VPNs or anonymizing services, possibly from disturbed individuals rather than organized terror groups.

Parents, staff, and students remain on edge as security protocols continue. Officials urge calm and strengthened vigilance, stressing that even hoax threats demand full-scale, precautionary responses to ensure public safety.
