Sunil, a B.Tech graduate turned autorickshaw driver, had been involved with the local transgender community for three years, refusing traditional marriage to live with his partner. His steadfast choice led to persistent quarrels with his parents, who struggled to reconcile societal judgment with their son’s decisions.
The situation worsened when Sunil misappropriated Rs 1.5 lakh from members of the transgender community. Unable to repay, the family faced public humiliation and mounting emotional strain.
