The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a range of student-friendly initiatives to ensure smooth travel for students appearing for the CBSE Board Examinations 2025. Set to be held from February 15 to April 4, the exams will see over 3.30 lakh students commuting across the city, prompting DMRC to collaborate with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to manage the increased footfall.
To facilitate hassle-free travel, DMRC has introduced several measures to assist students on exam days. Students carrying their CBSE Admit Cards will be prioritized at security checks, ensuring quicker access to metro stations. The same priority will apply at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care centers, allowing students to purchase tickets without delay.
In addition, DMRC staff have proactively visited schools to engage with principals and inform them about the nearest metro stations and available support. Schools have been requested to display posters featuring details of nearby stations, along with a QR code for easy ticket booking. This initiative is designed to help students plan their travel efficiently.
Centralized announcements will also be made at metro stations to further assist students, while a comprehensive list of metro stations closest to exam centers is available on the DMRC website and mobile app. These steps aim to minimize stress and ensure a smooth journey for students during the critical examination period.
