After waxing, your skin is left sensitive and vulnerable—time to treat it with care. Start with a cold compress or ice wrapped in gauze to soothe redness and close pores right away. Wait at least 48 hours before showering hot or soaking—opt for lukewarm showers instead to avoid stripping natural oils.
Keep the skin clean and moisturized daily using fragrance-free creams or gels containing aloe vera, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or natural oils like almond, coconut, or shea butter. Avoid heavy oils or pore-clogging ingredients until the skin has fully healed.
Wear loose, breathable clothing (cotton or silk) to prevent friction and irritation. Skip the gym, sauna, baths, and chlorinated pools for at least two days post-wax to allow your skin to heal.
Once 48–72 hours have passed and the skin feels calmer, gently exfoliate 2–3 times weekly using a mild scrub or chemical exfoliant (salicylic or glycolic acid) to prevent ingrown hairs. Finish with broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen on exposed areas to prevent hyperpigmentation.
