What started as a small roadside repair business is now turning into a brand, thanks to a simple yet powerful gesture-Gandhi gifting him a machine to refine his craftsmanship.

In February, Ramchet visited Delhi, where he presented his handmade slippers to Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Inspired by his dedication, Rahul Gandhi introduced him to Sudheer Rajbhar, founder of Chamar Studio, a brand known for revolutionizing leather craftsmanship.

This meeting opened new doors, showing Ramchet that his traditional skills could turn into a thriving business.

Back in Sultanpur, Ramchet expanded his work, setting up a workshop with two artisans and his son, who is eager to learn. His earnings, once limited to ₹100-150 a day, have now increased significantly, reflecting his growing business.
