Gill ka hungama, GT ka dhamaka! SRH ki vaat lag gayi!

Gujarat Titans turned up the heat in Ahmedabad as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs, moving up to second in the IPL 2025 points table. SRH, on the other hand, teeter on the edge of elimination with just three games remaining.

Opening the innings after being sent in to bat, GT captain Shubman Gill set the tone early, flicking Mohammed Shami for a six to start the onslaught. He, along with Sai Sudharsan, stitched an electrifying 87-run opening stand in just 6.5 overs. Gill smashed 76 off 38 balls, while Sudharsan added a flashy 48 from 23 deliveries.

Jos Buttler took over after the openers departed, slamming 64 off 37 balls and helping GT post a mammoth 224/6. Jaydev Unadkat’s last over cameo with three wickets slightly stemmed the flow, but it was too little, too late.

SRH faltered under scoreboard pressure. Though Cummins tried shuffling the bowling deck, Gill and Buttler toyed with the attack. SRH’s fielding let them down too-Cummins dropped Gill on 66 before the GT skipper was run out in bizarre fashion.

With their seventh win, GT are playoff contenders. SRH, meanwhile, have a mountain to climb if they hope to stay alive this season.
