Crores in cash found in Judge's burned storeroom!

In a stunning revelation, an inquiry committee investigating a fire at the residence of retired Justice S.K. Varma has uncovered large piles of unaccounted currency notes from a gutted storeroom. The committee’s interim report confirmed that bundles of high-denomination cash - many charred but identifiable - were recovered during the forensic sweep of the site.

Justice Varma had earlier claimed the blaze was accidental, triggered by faulty wiring. However, the discovery of the hidden cash has raised serious suspicions of financial irregularities and possible money laundering. Initial estimates suggest the amount could run into several crores, but exact figures are pending forensic validation.

The incident has triggered a wave of political reactions and demands for a full-scale probe by central agencies. The committee has also recommended a deeper audit into Justice Varma's assets and transactions during and after his tenure. Legal experts say this could open a Pandora’s box regarding judicial accountability in India.

Authorities are expected to release more details after completing the next phase of the investigation.
