Got an Infected Ear Piercing? Try These Desi Remedies That Actually Work!

Got a red, painful, or swollen ear after a piercing? Chill — some old-school desi hacks might help you heal fast and naturally.

1. Neem Stick: Neem has antibacterial powers. Insert a clean, dry neem stick into the hole to keep it open and fight infection.

2. Coconut Oil: Slightly warm coconut oil and apply it. It's soothing, moisturizing, and kills germs.

3. Mustard Oil: Heat a few drops and dab gently. It helps reduce pain and swelling.

4. Turmeric Paste: Mix turmeric with water or coconut oil to make a paste. Apply it — it's a natural antiseptic.

5. Saltwater Rinse: Mix 1/4 tsp salt in warm water. Use it to clean the area 2–3 times a day.

6. Warm Compress: A warm cloth pressed on the area can ease swelling and pain.

7. Morning Dew: In rural India, morning dew is believed to have healing power. Dab a few drops on the area.

Precautions: Don't remove your earring. Avoid harsh chemicals. Always clean your hands before touching your piercing. See a doctor if things get worse.

Stay safe, stay stylish!
