Munir Ahmed Niazi, born on April 9, 1928, in Khanpur near Hoshiarpur, India, was a distinguished Urdu and Punjabi poet whose evocative verses have left an indelible mark on South Asian literature. After the partition in 1947, Niazi migrated to Pakistan, settling in Sahiwal, where he completed his matriculation. He pursued higher education at S.E.
