Aule Space, a rising player in the global space-tech ecosystem, has successfully closed a $2 million pre-seed round, marking a significant milestone for the Indian private space sector. Led by Pi Ventures—known for backing disruptive technologies—the round also saw participation from a group of strategic angel investors and space-industry veterans. Founded by a team of aerospace engineers, Aule Space is focusing on "last-mile delivery" in space, developing specialized orbital maneuvering vehicles designed to deploy small satellites into precise, custom orbits once they leave the primary launch vehicle.
The fresh infusion of capital will be directed toward:
• Propulsion R&D: Advancing the development of their proprietary green-propellant engines and modular OMV architecture.
• Prototype Testing: Preparing for ground-based and sub-orbital qualification tests scheduled for late 2026.
• Talent Acquisition: Scaling their core engineering team in Bengaluru to include specialists in GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) and space robotics.
By addressing the "orbital gap"—where satellites are often dropped in sub-optimal orbits by large rockets—Aule Space aims to significantly extend the operational life and efficiency of commercial constellations. This funding reinforces India's growing reputation as a hub for cost-effective, high-precision deep-tech innovation in the "New Space" economy.
