In a groundbreaking move, the Telangana government has inked a deal with Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace to establish a state-of-the-art private rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing facility. This ₹500 crore investment was announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D Sridhar overseeing the agreement.

The facility will be one of India's largest integrated private rocket hubs, solidifying Telangana's position in the rapidly growing aerospace sector. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed pride in the achievements of Hyderabad-based startups like Skyroot. "This agreement highlights the ingenuity of Telangana's young minds working on cutting-edge technologies. Hyderabad will soon become a focal point for private space exploration," he said.

Skyroot Aerospace, known for its successful Vikram series of rockets, sees this partnership as a significant step forward. Pawan Kumar Chandana, co-founder of Skyroot, lauded Telangana's proactive leadership. "Under Revanth Reddy's vision, Telangana is becoming a dynamic center for innovation. We are thrilled to contribute to the state's ambitious TelanganaRising and HyderabadRising initiatives," he added.

The collaboration signals Telangana's strategic focus on aerospace and space technology, with plans to attract more private-sector investments. This project is expected to create high-value jobs and establish Hyderabad as a key player in India's burgeoning private space industry.
