People in the national capital spend an average of 571 minutes (about 9.5 hours) daily on work and related activities - nearly 2 hours more than the national average of 455 minutes.
Haryana and Tamil Nadu follow with 493 and 484 minutes respectively. Meanwhile, states like Odisha, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan clock in just around 7 hours of work daily.
Interestingly, Haryana tops the charts when it comes to leisure, sports, and cultural activities, with people spending 199 minutes daily - higher than the national average of 176 minutes. Rajasthan leads in social and religious participation.
The report also highlights gender disparity in work, with states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar showing a gap of over 70%, where women spend significantly less time working compared to men.
