"Khane ke liye hi toh kama raha hu": Employee’s reply to boss sparks internet debate!

A post on Reddit has gone viral after an employee stood up to his manager who denied him a lunch break. The post, shared by the employee’s friend, says that the incident happened in a mid-sized Indian company. When the employee went to take his lunch break, the manager asked him to first finish some work. The employee, already very hungry, got angry and replied, “Khane ke liye hi toh kama raha hu, aur yahan aap khaane se hi rok rahe ho” (I work so I can eat, and now you're stopping me from eating).

After this, the manager started ignoring the employee. Many people on Reddit supported the employee and called out the toxic work culture. One user said this one line will make that manager think twice before doing the same again. Another shared a similar story where they had to leave food and later cried at home.

This story has started a big conversation about respect and the importance of basic needs like food, even at the workplace.
