Reliance has unveiled JioFrames, a brand-new AI-powered wearable designed to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. Unlike Meta’s devices, which only support English, Spanish, and Italian, JioFrames supports multiple Indian languages, allowing users to communicate naturally with the AI assistant.
Announced at Reliance’s 48th Annual General Meeting, JioFrames lets users capture HD photos, record videos, and even go live on social media. All content is instantly stored on the Jio AI Cloud. Its open-ear speakers allow seamless calls, music, podcasts, and meetings on the go.
Although Reliance hasn’t shared pricing or launch details yet, the device reflects a hands-free AI companion built for India’s lifestyle, work, and entertainment needs.
Reliance’s CEO, Mukesh Ambani, emphasized that JioFrames is part of a bigger AI vision, including a joint venture with Meta, bringing open-source AI models to Indian businesses to boost productivity and innovation.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted the potential for AI to deliver “personal superintelligence,” and JioFrames could make that a reality across India.
From capturing moments to interacting in regional languages, JioFrames is poised to redefine AI wearables in India.
