In 2025, amid significant market corrections, several Indian billionaires experienced notable declines in their net worths. Ravi Jaipuria, founder and chairman of RJ Corp, faced the steepest loss. His wealth decreased by approximately 26%, from a peak of $17.6 billion to $13.1 billion, primarily due to the underperformance of his flagship firm, Varun Beverages, which saw a nearly 25% drop in value this year.
Other prominent figures affected include KP Singh of DLF, whose wealth declined by about 25% to $13.6 billion, and Mangal Prabhat Lodha of Macrotech Developers, with a 21% reduction to $9.8 billion. Even industry giants like Gautam Adani and Shiv Nadar weren't immune; both saw their fortunes diminish by 20%. The broader market downturn, influenced by global economic uncertainties and domestic challenges, has underscored the vulnerabilities faced by India's wealthiest individuals.
