Exciting news for all Taylor Swift fans in India! The globally renowned pop star may soon perform in the country for the first time. Swift’s team is reportedly in talks with the Adani family to have her perform at one of the pre-wedding festivities for businessman Gautam Adani’s son, Jeet Adani, and his fiancée, Diva Shah.
While the singer has yet to confirm, the discussions are going on and this seems to be more likely for Taylor Swift's first performance in India. Jeet Adani and Diva Shah, who got engaged privately in March 2023 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, expect to exchange their marriage vows later this year. It would be an earth-shaking performance for her Indian fans, who have long waited for a live concert in the country, if Taylor Swift agrees to perform.
Taylor Swift has those smashers such as Cruel Summer, Blank Space, Love Story, Lover, and Shake It Off; however, she has never performed in the country. She recently did not tour India with her Eras Tour instead focusing on Asian destinations like Singapore and Japan. However, Taylor has always expressed her love for her massive and energetic Indian following. While promoting her album 1989, in 2014, she mentioned how she was very aware of the large number of fans that she has among Indians during various interviews.
This would probably be the first monumental opportunity for many Swifties of India who eagerly look forward to one day getting an opportunity to witness her live concert performance. Do let us know your updates regarding the possibility of attending her live performance.
