Tesla to launch first India experience center in Mumbai on July 15!

In a major development, Tesla will inaugurate its first retail store in India on July 15 in Mumbai. The store, located at the upscale Jio World Drive Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, will serve as an experience centre where customers can explore Tesla’s electric vehicles.

The move follows Tesla’s ongoing efforts to establish a strong presence in the Indian market. The company has already imported a few units of the Model Y SUV for display and test drives, and it has also been expanding its India team, hiring for roles related to charging infrastructure, public policy, and retail operations.

Tesla has also set up a manufacturing entity and an R&D center in India and is in talks with the government for broader investment opportunities. The launch of the Mumbai store signifies Tesla's first step toward tapping into India's growing EV market.
