San Jose woman overwhelmed by Amazon packages due to Chinese seller fraud!

In a bizarre case of e-commerce fraud, a San Jose resident named Kay received hundreds of unwanted Amazon packages over the span of a year. The issue began when a Chinese third-party seller falsely listed her address as their U.S. return center. Since then, her home has been flooded with massive packages containing car seat covers and other items she never ordered.

Despite refusing deliveries and contacting Amazon multiple times, the problem persisted. The clutter blocked access to her house, especially affecting her 88-year-old disabled mother. Other Amazon buyers were also impacted, unknowingly shipping returns to her address and struggling to get refunds.

Amazon eventually stepped in after media coverage brought attention to the matter, removing the packages and investigating the fraudulent seller. Kay described the ordeal as a nightmare and called for stronger protections against such misuse of customer addresses.
