The secret sauce of Microsoft’s CEO? 5 GPT-5 prompts you must know!

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has revealed how GPT-5 has become his secret productivity weapon inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. Just weeks after GPT-5 rolled out, Nadella shared the five daily prompts he uses to save time, sharpen decisions, and stay ahead.

His first prompt helps him anticipate colleagues’ priorities before meetings by scanning past conversations. The second creates detailed project updates from emails, chats, and KPIs, even suggesting tough questions he might face. The third is almost like a project probability calculator, checking engineering progress and risks to tell him whether a launch will stay on track.

Nadella’s fourth prompt is about time management - Copilot analyzes his calendar and emails to show how his time is split across projects. Finally, the fifth ensures meeting prep mastery, pulling key insights from emails and past team discussions.

These prompts show how AI is not just a writing tool but a decision-making assistant. Nadella’s reveal also highlights Microsoft’s continued deep partnership with OpenAI, even as both companies chart their independent growth.
