India’s homestay sector is booming, yet thousands of family-run properties still remain offline because they can’t afford expensive hotel-centric software. Spotting this gap, Yash Kumar launched Homeyhuts, a homegrown platform built specifically for Indian homestays. The startup helps hosts list their properties across major platforms like Airbnb, MakeMyTrip and Booking.com through one simple dashboard, making management easier and stays more affordable.
Unlike global OTAs that charge high commissions, Homeyhuts offers tools at just ₹490 per month - including a channel manager, AI-based pricing, calendar syncing, and even WhatsApp-enabled guest communication. This helps small and remote homestays boost their visibility and earn more without heavy expenses.
Within a year, the platform has onboarded 2,500+ homestays, crossed ₹25 crore in gross transactions, and attracted 100,000+ weekly visitors. It also supports multiple Indian languages, helping hosts from Uttarakhand to Maharashtra take their properties online effortlessly.
By reducing commissions and optimizing pricing, Homeyhuts claims to make stays 15–20% cheaper for travellers while empowering local families. With a target of 50,000 listings in the next few years, the startup aims to redefine India’s homestay ecosystem.
