A 14‑year‑old boy, son of a Gujarati–Hindi television actor, tragically died by suicide on Wednesday evening at the family’s high‑rise apartment in Kandivali West. The teen, a Class 9 student, reportedly went into a dispute with his mother when she insisted he attend tuition classes. He left the flat but returned minutes later and jumped from several floors above around 6 pm, according to police.

Family and neighbours rushed to the scene after a resident alerted his mother. The boy was found gravely injured and later pronounced dead. Kandivali police have registered an Accidental Death Report and initiated a full inquiry. No foul play has been detected so far. Investigators are expected to seek further clarity by speaking with the teen's school, tuition centre, and classmates to understand his mental state leading up to the incident.

The mother, who is reportedly divorced and the boy's only parent, has expressed deep shock and grief.
