The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has announced a bold new scheme offering up to a 30% subsidy to promote the development of roadside amenities along key highways and tourist routes. Under this initiative, entrepreneurs can establish dhabas, motels, food plazas, and air-conditioned toilet complexes on national highways, state highways, expressways, and roads leading to major tourist attractions.

The scheme aims to enhance traveller convenience while boosting business and employment opportunities for local communities. Eligible amenities can be set up on private lands, including marriage lawns and fuel stations, with additional incentives such as waived stamp duty and registration charges for land purchases. Existing facilities can also upgrade infrastructure with subsidies for clean toilets, accessible restrooms, children's play areas, RO water systems, and modular kitchens.

The Tourism Department will further promote registered facilities via signboards, glow signs, and listings on its website. Entrepreneurs can register online by May 25 to avail the benefits.
