Born on April 22, 1974, in New Delhi, Chetan Bhagat is one of India's most loved and bestselling authors. From IIT Delhi to IIM Ahmedabad to the corporate world in Hong Kong, his journey is as inspiring as his books.
Before turning to writing full-time, Chetan worked as an investment banker for 11 years. But it was his sharp storytelling, relatable characters, and simple language that made him a household name among young Indian readers.
His books dive into themes like love, friendship, ambition, and the everyday struggles of modern India's youth. Many of his novels have been adapted into blockbuster Bollywood movies—further cementing his popularity.
