What animals do after death will leave you speechless…!

We often think grief is only for humans, but animals prove otherwise. Many species show surprising ways of mourning, from staying close to the dead to acting distressed, and even performing what seem like small rituals.
Elephants are famous for their emotional depth. When a herd matriarch died in Kenya, other elephants—some not even related—gathered, touched her with their trunks, and stayed nearby long after her death. Some even return to the bones of lost friends, showing memory and empathy.
Primates, like chimpanzees and gorillas, also show strong reactions. One chimpanzee carried her dead infant for three months, refusing to let go. Gorillas have been seen grooming dead companions or quietly sitting by them.
In the ocean, dolphins and whales support dead calves, sometimes for days. Birds like crows and magpies may bring twigs or objects to their dead. Even pets like cats and dogs show sadness when they lose a companion.
These behaviors suggest that grief may be a universal feeling, shared by humans and animals alike-a silent language of love and loss.
