Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan may be at risk of losing a royal inheritance reportedly worth ₹15,000 crore, stemming from his maternal great-grandfather, Hamidullah Khan, the last Nawab of Bhopal. Saif’s royal lineage comes from his mother, Sharmila Tagore, whose maternal side descends from Bhopal’s erstwhile ruling family.

At the center of the controversy is a decades-old legal and bureaucratic tangle surrounding the succession and ownership of various palaces and assets across Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere, originally held by the Nawab.
