IAF confirms both pilots killed in Jaguar crash near Churu!

The Indian Air Force has confirmed that both pilots onboard the Jaguar fighter jet died when it crashed in an agricultural field near Bhanoda village, Churu district of Rajasthan, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The twin-seater aircraft, which took off from Suratgarh airbase for a routine training mission, went down at approximately 1:25 pm, scattering debris across farmland.
The Air Force confirmed the fatalities in an official statement, expressing deep regret and extending condolences to the families . Human remains were reportedly found at the crash site, indicating the pilots did not survive . No civilian casualties have been reported.
This marks the third Jaguar crash in 2025, raising fresh concerns about the aging aircraft fleet's safety . The IAF has constituted a Court of Inquiry to investigate the cause and will review technical maintenance records.
