Would You Pay ₹2.7 Lakh for a Mango? This One Might Be Worth It!

Summer means mangoes but have you heard of a mango so rare, it's called the 'Egg of the Sun' and sold for up to ₹2.7 lakh (around $3,000) a pair?

Meet the Miyazaki mango, the world's most expensive mango, known for its ruby-red color, sweet aroma, and melt-in-the-mouth taste.

Grown in Miyazaki, Japan, these mangoes are treated like royalty. Each fruit is hand-pollinated, covered in protective nets, and left to hang so it gets perfect sunlight. This process gives it a bright red color and rich sugar content for up to 15+ on the Brix scale!

Each mango weighs around 350–550 grams and is packed with antioxidants and natural sugars, giving it a custard-like texture.

In India, farmer Surendra Singh made headlines for growing Miyazaki mangoes in Bihar. His success is inspiring more farmers to explore luxury fruits.

More than just a fruit, the Miyazaki mango is a symbol of luxury and elegance, often gifted at big events or served in high-end dining.

So, would you splurge on a mango that costs more than an iPhone? Or just admire it from afar?
