Jadavpur University finds itself at the center of a political controversy after graffiti supporting "Azad Kashmir" and "Free Palestine" appeared on its campus walls. The slogans have sparked a heated debate between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Left, with both sides trading accusations over the incident.
While TMC leaders have condemned the graffiti as an attempt to incite unrest, Left leaders have defended students' right to express their political opinions. The university administration is now under pressure to take action, with authorities reportedly investigating the individuals responsible for the slogans.
This is not the first time Jadavpur University has been at the forefront of political activism. However, with elections approaching, the issue has taken on a larger political dimension. As tensions rise, the question remains—was this an act of genuine political expression or a deliberate move to stir controversy?
