At a press briefing on June 30, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt affirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump shares a "very good relationship" with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has significantly accelerated negotiations.

Leavitt also praised India as a key strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific, underlining growing defense, economic, and technological cooperation between the two democracies.
