On May 7, 2025, Pakistan heightened its emergency measures following India's Operation Sindoor, which struck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. Government hospitals across Pakistan are on standby, while airspace for all domestic and international flights is closed for 24-36 hours.
Educational institutions in Islamabad and Punjab shut down, and all forces are on high alert. In India, schools in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch remain closed, reflecting the volatile situation along the Line of Control.
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport issued an advisory, urging passengers to check flight statuses due to airspace restrictions impacting operations. The measures follow India's response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26. As both nations brace for potential escalation, the region teeters on edge, with diplomatic efforts urged to avert further conflict.
