Ludhiana’s Bhamian Road erupted in chaos on Sunday morning when a speeding white Audi, bearing Chandigarh registration CH01BB2632, barreled into a crowd near GK Estate. Prem Shah, a 38-year-old kulche‑chhole vendor from Bihar supporting a wife and five children, was crushed to death on the spot, while three others - Rajesh Kumar, Harpal Singh, and Jashanpreet Singh - sustained injuries and are now hospitalized.

CCTV and onlookers captured the horrific sequence: the Audi first mangled the vendor’s cart, then plowed through a scooter and motorcycle, dragging a man several meters before coming to a halt. Locals managed to corner the suspected driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. However, he escaped in a Maruti Swift that pulled up later - eluding authorities.

Inspector Balwinder Kaur, SHO at Jamalpur station, confirmed the car has been impounded and documents retrieved to trace the owner—Jastejveer Singh from Samrala - though the official transfer of ownership was never completed .
