Delhi Police arrests two suspected ISIS operatives planning major attack in the capital!

In a major counter-terror operation, Delhi Police arrested two suspected operatives of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in a joint raid conducted in Delhi’s Sadiq Nagar and Bhopal. The two men, both identified as “Adnan” and hailing from Bhopal, were taken into custody following actionable intelligence inputs.

Preliminary investigations indicate the duo were affiliated with ISIS and were actively planning a “major terror strike” in the national capital, according to senior police officers. Electronic devices and other incriminating material were seized during the operation.

Authorities say the arrests have thwarted a potential high-footfall attack in Delhi, and investigations are ongoing to map out the full network and extent of the plot.
The case underlines the persistent threat of domestic radicalisation and the importance of inter-state coordination in policing extremist modules.
