Three friends, One Idea: Turning Corporate waste into Profit!

What began as a casual dinner conversation among three friends has evolved into a transformative business model. Anuj Bhatnagar, along with Udaibhan Singh and Amit Gautam, founded Let's Scrap, a Gurugram-based startup that has revolutionized waste management for corporations and households across India. Their platform facilitates the recycling of over 20,000 metric tonnes of waste annually, partnering with over 200 companies and servicing 4,000 households across 12 cities .

Unlike traditional waste disposal methods, Let's Scrap offers a digitally backed system that ensures transparency and compliance with environmental regulations. Corporate clients can schedule scrap collection through a user-friendly app, where each transaction is documented with photographic evidence and digital invoices. The collected materials are then transported to authorized Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) for proper segregation and recycling .

This innovative approach not only aids in environmental sustainability but also provides financial benefits to businesses. For instance, Aditya Birla Fashion Retail reported a fivefold increase in income from scrap, thanks to Let's Scrap's efficient processes .

With a bootstrapped investment of ₹1.2 crore, Let's Scrap is now approaching nearly ₹1 crore in monthly revenue, generating about 20–25% gross profit margins . Their success story exemplifies how a simple idea can lead to significant environmental and economic impact.
