A shocking drunk driving accident in Vadodara's Karelibag area left one person dead and several others injured late Thursday night. The incident, captured on CCTV, took place near Amrapali Chaar Rasta, a busy intersection, when a speeding black car lost control and crashed into a two-wheeler, hitting multiple bystanders.

The impact was deadly, killing a woman named Hemaliben Patel on the spot. Three to four others were seriously injured, including a 12-year-old girl (Jaini), a 35-year-old woman (Nishaben), a 10-year-old girl, and a 40-year-old man. Emergency services rushed them to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

What made things even more disturbing was the driver's behaviour after the crash. Witnesses say he stepped out of his completely wrecked car, clearly drunk, and started acting strangely. In a video that has now gone viral, he was seen stumbling and shouting bizarre phrases like "Another round, another round!" and "Om Namah Shivay!" instead of acknowledging the damage he caused.

Police arrived quickly and arrested him on the spot. Leena Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police, confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Investigations are ongoing to determine if he was also on drugs or other substances.

The accident has sparked outrage, with many demanding stricter action against drunk driving to prevent such tragedies in the future.
