Over the past five days, Allahbadia has lost over 8,300 followers across his Instagram profiles. The controversy has sparked widespread outrage, with hashtags like #boycott_ranveerallahbadia and #unfollow_ranveer_allahbadia trending online.

Notable figures like singer B Praak publicly canceled their association with Allahbadia, citing his comments as "pathetic" and against "Indian culture." Critics have called his actions hypocritical, accusing him of faking spirituality to gain views while endorsing inappropriate behavior.

The backlash has extended to his brand partnerships. Marketers warn that Allahbadia's comments could cost him deals with brands like Spotify, Mountain Dew, and Amazon Prime Video. Neha Arora, CEO of Value4Brand, stated that companies are unlikely to risk their reputation by associating with a controversial figure, especially one under legal scrutiny.

Adding to the trouble, an FIR has been filed against Allahbadia and others for promoting obscenity. Politicians, including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, have condemned the influencer's behavior.

Amid the growing criticism, Allahbadia issued a public apology, calling his comments "inappropriate" and "not even funny." Experts believe this incident highlights the importance of balancing authenticity with accountability. "Today's clout can become tomorrow's cancellation," said Mohit Ghate of Wit & Chai.
